I'm not hardline about that part, it's just the wan that comes naturally
to me. In most cases I don't have a problem with the alternate form,
although when writing something myself I am unlikely to use it.

I mean, I *could* provide a justification of why it is correct and the
other form is wrong, but I don't really think it's that important...
