Thanks Vitor for your friendly reply.

Did use "reply", but entered a new subject line. I thought I'd create a 
new thread this way. Obviously I was wrong. Heh, as you can see I'm a 
noob with mailing lists...

This may be a stupid question: But if I "Compose", don't I create a 
top-post that way? What do I need to do to make sure that I don't create 
a top-post accidently?
