but IIRC that "something" was a FFT
mark did claim that split radix was not optimal for blackfin but i do not
understand how he could have known that without having implemented one.
Nor do i remember him providing any convincing arguments for this claim.

Now as we do have one from loren we actually could test the code and the
current fft to see which of the C based ones is faster on blackfin.
