You may test it on samples from MPHQ, all of them except
vbetest_000 and zmbv_*bit are palettized. They work fine
on x86 and PPC under FFmpeg and MPlayer.

I recall that came from FFdshow user and it looks like
_their_ bug not properly supporting PIX_FMT_RGB24.
