For v4l2, valid formats are 'PAL-BG', 'SECAM-L', 'NTSC-M', etc.  Just
plain PAL or NTSC isn't enough.

It might be nice to make NTSC an alias for NTSC-M and PAL an alias for
PAL-BG.


please no - this would cause same issues as I originally reported.

for me running the above worked, but if PAL equates to a specific alias,
it would be difficult to track down for people in areas that are not
PAL-BG, eg: UK which is PAL-I which is me
