POSIX shell, nothing bash-specific in there.

That surely is the first time somebody accuses MPlayer of being small.
Might be that it is compared to vlc/xine/gstreamer...

Not for now, forever.

You may have noticed that KDE dropped auto* a short while ago.  You may
not like it, but it's clearly a trend.  auto* is on the way out into
obsolescence.
