[Ffmpeg-devel] GSoC 2007 :: ffmpeg qualification phase

Hi ,
    I touched base with Mike regarding the qualification phase for GSoC and
he suggested
that I get to this mailing list.

With regards to the qualification phase, I would prefer to work on any of
the demuxing / decoding
projects as the  qualification project. Anything to do with C would be fine
with me but NOT assembly.

I have been working on the mplayer code base for  the last  11/2 years.
I am completely familiar with the demuxing (libmpdemux) , libavcodec, and in
general
the chain involved in capturing a packet using LIVE555 streaming module to
the
point where it is decoded. Specifically I am aware of the mpeg4 chain.

Hope to here from you guys with ideas and suggestions and also details
about this trial.
