I reposted a block diagram of the RV40 decoding process from Real's 
whitepaper:

As you can see, it's all quite trivial. :) Decode the syntax and 
coefficients from the bitstream, dequantize and transform the 
coefficients, combine with information from surrounding blocks and 
blocks from other frames, and shove the reconstructed frame through a 
post-processing filter. Simple! The rest is just details. :)

Where have I seen this all before?
