OK, 

Here is what I propose:

For the ffserver documentation:

1) General additions and cleanup to reflect the
current state of that system, plus usage examples, as
was done with vhook.

2) Document ffserver.conf file more explcitly, as a
separate .texi file.

3) Separate ffserver.conf files for the various types
of streams

As for 3) above here's why:
   a) They can be more specifically commented in ways
that apply to that particular type of stream.
   b) They may be little easier to read, overall.
   c) They cam be "plugged in" and used directly,
without someone having to uncomment and recomment
various lines. This is perhaps most important. Various
configs, can be tested, and working examples provided.
from there, a person can just try them with:

ffserver -f <conf-file> 

And get some kind of result right away, for the
various stream types.
