[Ffmpeg-devel] conversion from wmv to flv does not work in 90%ofthe cases

Hello,

Thanks a lot for responding. I am using it this way:

ffmpeg.exe -i home.wmv -f flv -ab 64 -ac 1 -ar 44100 Sample17.flv

And this is what I get:

FFmpeg version SVN-r7165, Copyright (c) 2000-2006 Fabrice Bellard, et al.

  configuration: --enable-mp3lame --enable-libnut --enable-libogg
--enable-vorb

is --enable-faad --enable-faac --enable-libgsm --enable-xvid --enable-x264
--ena

ble-mingw32 --enable-a52 --enable-dts --enable-pp --enable-amr_nb
--enable-amr_w

b --enable-swscaler --enable-avisynth --enable-gpl --enable-memalign-hack
--cpu=

i686 --extra-ldflags=-static

  libavutil version: 49.1.0

  libavcodec version: 51.25.0

  libavformat version: 51.6.0

  built on Nov 24 2006 18:53:03, gcc: 4.0.3

Seems that stream 0 comes from film source: 1000.00 (1000/1) -> 48.25
(193/4)

Input #0, asf, from 'home.wmv':

  Duration: 00:00:33.0, start: 5.000000, bitrate: 76 kb/s

  Stream #0.0: Video: WMVP / 0x50564D57, 320x240, 48.25 fps(r)

  Stream #0.1: Audio: wmav2, 8000 Hz, mono, 8 kb/s

swScaler: Unknown format is not supported as input format

Cannot get resampling context

Please advice.

Thanks,

Satya

You'll have much better luck if you follow the bug reporting guidelines,
here:

http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/bugreports.html

Since you don't actually provide any information (command line used,

error messages given, etc) at all, we're left to guessing. My guess

would be: "Upgrade to latest SVN". Followed by "build with

--enable-mp3lame".
