[Ffmpeg-devel] mux demux

Friends,

I am wondering If ffmpeg can

mux and demux a mpg2 program file.

If so how?
  I see talk of the api - does that mean I have to write something in C++ ?

also I think I can use ffmpeg to concatenate several mpg2 s into a single mpg2

is that true and what would the syntax be to cat
dog.mpg , frog.mpg and monkey.mpg into an   all.mpg
