yes there is, theres a nomail option on the page on which you can configure
your subscription options like digest or not and such (at least i think it
is there)

diego, or someone else can we explain that nomail thing together with
topposting, replying to unrelated threads with new subject and such
on http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/mailinglists.html or somewhere appropriate?

also could we hide the link with which to reach the subscribe to ffmpeg-*
page, i mean write it in plain text not as a clickable link so people
must read the paragraph with the netiquette and other usefull tips
before they can subscribe
i think this might reduce the amount of top posting and other trivial
mistakes people do
