[Ffmpeg-devel] [PATCH] improve configure

Hi,

The attached patch improves the configure script a bit.  It now
verifies that all requested external libs are present, and fails with
an error message if they are not.  IMHO this is better than getting
random build errors (numerous lrintf problems come to mind).  Some
compiler/linker flags are also tested rather than hardwired since they
are not supported with all versions.

Please test and report any problems.
