Michael you've forgotten a very important option for somebody who decided
to celebrate New Year in Russia:
[X] dv maintainer drunk
Seriously, though. I haven't seen this patch in my email (yet?) but as
far as I can tell from the description it is about the good old problem
of telling DV-container data apart from DV-codec data. My take on it has
been that unless we're dealing with a RAQ DV file, DV-codec data
is unreliable for getting metadata from it. For cases like DV-in-AVI we have
a perfectly valid place to get this data from -- container format.
Comments ?
Thanks,
Roman.
