[Ffmpeg-devel] problem with frame extraction

Hello,

  I would like to extract video frames as .png images  thanks to mplayer 
(under Windows XP),  and  I was  advised  to  type:
"C:/Program Files/MPlayer/mplayer.exe" -vo png essai.avi
  Unfortunately, when I type this line, I get the error message :
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
  Can anyone please help me to solve this  problem?
