It's not the pretties of ways, but it maintains full ISO standard
compliance, which is a good thing. The alternative is to use some of
the reserver codec IDs in the PSM/PMT. Technically, there is nothing
wrong this approach, but player support for the PSM in MPEG-PS is
rare.
