well, its just changing if 0 to if 1 and running ffmpeg -i X -f null -
over random files and or just fate, and then looking at the generated
file with something like sort -n

Rewriting code that is poorly written but fully understood is good.
Rewriting code that one doesnt understand is a sign that one is less smart
then the original author, trying to rewrite it will not make it better.
