I commented on this against an earlier commit (15222), which still
hasn't been changed. I wasn't sure it needed changing, but if this one
does...

A comprehensive review of the state of the English in all code comments
is on my to-do list, but it's a major task and I don't have a lot of
time to spend on such things (or rather, I do, but I prefer to spend it
on more conventional leisure-time activities like sleeping). If someone
would like to point out places (files) where it's likely to be
particularly in need of checking over, I might be able to give that
priority.
