No, it doesn't.  Either you're not using CVS or you're getting something
else wrong.

Huh?  Elaborate, I need to fix this.

I think it is between 5-10MB, depending on what you compile in.  Mine is
6.5MB, probably you can get it down to 3-4MB without much hassle.
