configure should detect shared lavc and soon - as in tomorrow or the
day after - shared lavf.  If you have trouble getting it to work, send a
bug report.

If you want to something like --enable-shared-lavc configure options, I
could add them in about two minutes (and I doubt it would take you more
than five).  I don't consider them particularly useful at this point,
though.
