I suppose it *technically* could be correct, if you read it as a
rearranging of "developers of FFmpeg", but that's not the natural way to
read it IMO.

I didn't object to that sentence because it is the "formal error
message", and that kind of ungrammatical terseness has long been the
accepted form in such contexts.
