Heh, thanks for pointing this out to me.
With the video clip I first tried, I always seem to get:
mencoder: snow.c:3106: check_block: Assertion `mb_y<b_stride' failed.]
The video clip is http://snackbox.org/~snacky/testclips/mushi_cut.avi
and the command line is:
mencoder mushi_cut.avi -nosound -ovc lavc -lavcopts \
vstrict=-2:vcodec=snow:vme=8 -o somefile
I get the same assertion failure with several other combinations of
options (v4mv, qpel, *cmp= stuff, pred).
For some reason it works fine on another source file I have laying
around <http://ikaruga.co.uk/~snacky/timing.avi>
Very very slow though. I probably won't bother trying this out until I
get to a faster PC.
