Subject: [DVDnav-discuss] DVDNAV problem: subtitles and transparency

	I sent this message do mplayer-users, but nobody answered. I don't know 
if I can ask this here...

	I tried to play a DVD using the following:

mplayer -fs -slang pt dvdnav:// -dvd-device FOLDER

	The problem is:

1) the subtitles doesn't appear automatically, unless I cycle through
all of them until I reach the one I want (in this case "pt"). And as
side-effect, everytime the DVD changes chapter, I have to select
manually again the subtitle

	If I use only dvd://<title> it works perfectly and the subtitle 
is shown across the chapters

2) the subtitle transparency is annoying. Is there a way to make it
100% opaque?

Has there been any progress on this?
I stumbled over this today while trying to compile dvdbackup, which still 
fails because this is missing.

Another question: Would it be save for distributions to use that patch on 
libdvdread-4.1.3?

It is currently stalled. Waiting for me to apply for svn write access.

Give me a week to get my act together.

I plan to put this patch in ASAP. So it is probably pretty safe.
