I'm pretty sure that mplayer will not play the video using the xv output
 since you xvinfo command returns no xvideo capabilities. Try
gnome-mplayer with the x11 video output and it should work. If you still
 think that mplayer uses xvideo. Please post a run of mplayer with the
xv vo set and the -v option, I would like to see what it says.
