[MPlayer-users] Mplayer installed but does not run

Dear friends:

[Using Debian 3.1 testing (etch)]

I downloaded the Marillat debian files by adding the site to 
my /apt/sources.list. Everything was fine. I also installed mplayerplug-in, 
which works fine.

But when I click on Mplayer (with a movie in the DVD drive), it just spins in 
the taskbar. Your help would be much appreciated. Very much looking forward 
to watching my movies on your famous Mplayer.
