Hello

When i encode from dvd with a fresh version from CVS
i see some visul artifacts around sharp edges in the
images (like heavy ringing) and a a kind of flash
every second or so ( i suppose at keyframes).

If i revert mplayer to 7 days ago ( with cvs update -D '7 days ago' )
i see a perfect picture.
If i go back only 6 days i see the problem.

The relevant part of the "backup" script is:

LAVCOPTS='vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=3862:vqmin=1:lmin=1:mbd=2:vrc_maxrate=9000:vrc_buf_size=1835:keyint=25:aspect=16/9:psnr:vmax_b_frames=1:trell:cbp:abitrate=224'

mencoder -of mpeg -o test-p2.mpeg dvd://$TITLENUM -dvd-device $DVD -ovc
lavc -lavcopts $LAVCOPTS:'vpass=1' -oac copy -channels 6 -alang it
mencoder -of mpeg -o test-p2.mpeg dvd://$TITLENUM -dvd-device $DVD -ovc
lavc -lavcopts $LAVCOPTS:'vpass=2' -oac copy -channels 6 -alang it

Is somebody seeing this kind of defect?

bye, gaddo.
