[MPlayer-users] Avi to SVCD framerate encoding problem

Hi,

After looking at the divx2svcd script in TOOLS came up with something like this to make NTSC SVCDs

mencoder -ofps 29.97 -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vbitrate=1600:acodec=mp2:abitrate=128:aspect=4/3 file.avi -o done.mpg -srate 44100 -of mpeg -channels 2 -vf scale=480:480


When trying to run it, I get this error

[mpeg2video @ 0x84360a8]MPEG1/2 doesnt support 2997/100 fps
Could not open codec.

If I use any number without a decimal -ofps 25 or -ofps 30 it will work fine. I don't understand why I am getting the error because I saw a few examples that use 29.97.
