I have several players on my Debian Sid box with mplayer my favourite. Unlike the other players, I cannot just launch mplayer from either a script or terminal and then proceed to search and open a file. I have to do mplayer filename for it to open. Is there a way for it to merely launch or is this a Debian problem?
