[MPlayer-users] Re. Mplayer crashing

I downloaded all available codecs from the Mplayer home page <mplayerhq.hu>
and unpacked them in ~/.mplayer/codecs, /usr/local/lib/codec, and 
/usr/lic/win32 ...
hoping than at least one location would work.

Regrettably, nothing has changed - I still get the same errors when I 
'vi *.ram' and
use the '*rm' file as an Mplayer argument.

I don't understand why ALSA does not seem to open or initialise my
Creative (Blaster ?) soundcard

I agree that it may be a codec (config ?) problem.
