Asunto: [MPlayer-users] A way to edit AVI INFO fields?

[Automatic answer: RTFM (read DOCS, FAQ), also read
DOCS/bugreports.html]
I'm looking for a way to edit avi info fields from the command line
WITHOUT repacking the movie. That is, I don't want to do -ovc copy -oac
copy with mencoder. I believe there are other programs to do this, so I
think it should be theoretically possible. I'd be happy to even just
overwrite the "ISFT" field.

Basically, I want a way for me to inject a comment into the INFO field
in the avi (specifically, the IMDB id number, so a 7 character string).
I'd preferably like a way to read it back, too.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It seems like it should be feasible, but perhaps not using
mplayer/mencoder itself, but instead using some modified avidemux code
or something.

Your thoughts?
