Not sure what you mean, but these are the compile-time settings I use, run-time I mostly just use vo = sdl and ao = sdl unless there's a problem =)

./configure --with-xvidcore=/usr/local/lib/xvid/libxvidcore.a \
--enable-qtx-codecs \
--with-xanimlibdir=/usr/local/lib/win32 \
--with-reallibdir=/usr/local/lib/win32 \
--with-xanimlibdir=/usr/local/lib/xanim \
--with-livelibdir=/usr/local/lib/live \
--enable-menu \
--enable-gui \
--enable-live
