I'm having some problems getting FAAD2 audio codec to work under mplayer.

I'm playing a quicktime flick and mpmlayer detects the appropriate codec
but fails to play any sound...
I double checked the codecs.conf but it seems alright. Anyone have that
happen as well?

I have the latest FAAD2 release build and latest libsnd release as well.

test programs for libsnd work ok as well.
