[MPlayer-users] VESA vs. SVGA

I've switched to -vo vesa to support a new TV-out card, and am pleased to
see it's a LOT faster than -vo svga. However, the black bars above and below
the movie are filled with garbage - what looks like text characters from
before the screen switch. Clearing the screen before playing the movie, and
using the -quiet switch, don't really do anything to change this.

Minor annoyance, not really a bug, but isn't there a way to have the VESA
driver clear the entire screen after switching modes and before starting the
playback?

Regards,
Chad
